Rhode Island Weather for Feb. 19, 2023 – John Donnelly

Clouds will be building slowly through the day way out ahead of a developing low pressure system, with an eventual shower or two after midnight. Daytime highs in the upper 40’s and lows around 30 with a light south-southwesterly breeze.

John Donnelly was born in Hialeah, Florida and moved back to Rhode Island and settled in Johnston, where he grew up until graduating from Lyndon State College in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. As a child John always wanted to know how air moved, and he ran towards, not away from, thunder and lighting and various other ominous weather phenomena. He returned in 2001 to the old family neighborhood of Elmhurst.

The mystery of the woman who burned to ashes in the apartment is still intact: A history of decades

When police found Mary Reeser, most of her body was burned to ashes. It is difficult to understand that all furniture in the apartment is almost intact. This mysterious case for the past 70 years has not found a convincing answer. On July 2, 1951, Pansy Carpenter, Mary Reeser’s landlady, stopped by the tenant’s apartment to send a telegram. When Pansy knocked on the door, no one answered. She put her hand on the doorknob and felt unusually hot, so she called the police. Police immediately went to the apartment at 1,200 Cherry Street (St. Petersburg town, Florida, USA) and discovered Mrs. Marry Reeser, 67 years old, burned to death in a mysterious fire.
