Joel's Voice Actor Troy Baker Will Be A Survivor In The Last Of Us Episode 8

There are only two more episodes to go until season one of HBO's The Last Of Us reaches its climax. Episode seven was largely a flashback as it told the story of Ellie and Riley, an adaptation of the Game 's Left Behind DLC. Further pulling from the Game s in a different way as the show moves forward, Troy Baker, the actor who voiced the original version of Joel, will have a role to play in episode eight. The preview of this coming Monday's episode shows Ellie frantically looking for help as she attempts to save Joel's life. Still hanging on after being stabbed with a shard from a baseball bat, Ellie managed to earn Joel some extra time by crudely stitching him up at the end of episode seven. Next week, a group she runs into will include a character who wasn't in the game. James, who will be played by Baker. Sons Of The Forest Sells 2 Million Copies Within First 24 Hours

Sons of the Forest has become Steam's new darling. Endnight Game s' survival horror title created headlines by becoming the most wishlisted Game on Steam, despite being an indie title by a relatively small dev. However, this didn't seem to matter to many people, as the numbers just kept rising, despite the Game receiving multiple delays. The Game play trailer, which came out nearly two years ago, really worked wonders with its stunning visuals and animations. Well, the game has launched in Early Access, and it has been scoring high numbers across the board. It hit 250,000 concurrent players just hours after launch, and has already received 18,000 Very Positive Steam reviews. However, the game has also reached another massive milestone, one that eclipses the ones already mentioned. Taylor Swift is so GORGEOUS on Vogue magazine

Image
TAYLOR SWIFT has been unveiled as the cover star of Edward Enninful’s second issue of British Vogue. SH๏Ï„ by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the pop star wears a Saint Laurent dress by Anthony Vaccarello with hair styled by Paul Hanlon and make-up by Isamaya Ffrench. A 12-page shoot styled by the editor-in-chief follows in the much-anticipated  edition and sets the precedent for #NewVogue’s exciting year ahead. For me, the chance to help transform America’s most fascinating sweetheart was a joy. As we took the pop icon on an epic fashion journey with pH๏Ï„ographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, what struck me most about Taylor was her brilliant sense of humour, but also how, for a woman in her twenties, she has an incredible sense of who she is,” Enninful said of the shoot. “Obviously she is a world-class  lyricist – and has written a stunning poem just for Vogue on the timely subject of reinvention and moving on – but she also takes her duties as a role model very seriously.

Valve Caught 40,000 Dota 2 Cheaters By Adding Hidden Data

Dota 2 is Steam’s second most popular Game behind CS:GO, and just like with CS:GO, Valve has to be on the constant lookout for cheaters. Today, Dota 2 is down 40,000 accounts that were using illegal software to cheat in Dota 2 because Valve employed an interesting strategy to catch them in the act. In yesterday’s blog update, Valve confirmed 40,000 accounts were banned for using software that "was able to access information used internally by the Dota client that wasn't visible during normal Game play, giving the cheater an unfair advantage." Valve fixed the underlying issue, but rather than just issue a patch to render all that cheat software useless, the Dota 2 developer instead set a trap. This patch created a honeypot: a section of data inside the Game client that would never be read

NBA Power Rankings: Celtics lead pack at All-Star break; Knicks in top 10; Lakers, Warriors disappoint

The NBA All-Star break isn't just for the players. It's a good time for fans to reset, take a deep breath, and look back at the season which is now three-quarters of the way done, despite our tendency to call it the "halfway" point. The idea of retrospect goes for us too, and we've decided to use this week's Power Rankings to look back at the season as a whole, rather than just the previous week. Major trades stand to shake things up in the home stretch, but a clear hierarchy was established before the break . The Boston Celtics have been the class of the field for the majority of the season, with the Western Conference-leading Denver Nuggets and powerhouse Milwaukee Bucks just a hair behind them. Within striking distance are the Philadelphia 76ers, Cleveland Cavaliers and Memphis Grizzlies, who all put up impressive records before the All-Star break . In terms of surprises, prior to the

Rhode Island Weather for Feb. 19, 2023 – John Donnelly

Image
by John Donnelly, meteorologist Clouds will be building slowly through the day way out ahead of a developing low pressure system, with an eventual shower or two after midnight. Daytime highs in the upper 40’s and lows around 30 with a light south-southwesterly breeze. John Donnelly was born in Hialeah, Florida and moved back to Rhode Island and settled in Johnston, where he grew up until graduating from Lyndon State College in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. As a child John always wanted to know how air moved, and he ran towards, not away from, thunder and lighting and various other ominous weather phenomena. He returned in 2001 to the old family neighborhood of Elmhurst . Microsoft's Bing plans AI ads in early pitch to advertisers

Microsoft has started discussing with ad agencies how it plans to make money from its revamped Bing search engine powered by generative artificial intelligence as the tech company seeks to battle Google's dominance. In a meeting with a major ad agency this week, Microsoft showed off a demo of the new Bing and said it plans to allow paid links within responses to search results, said an ad executive, who spoke about the private meeting on the condition of anonymity. Generative AI, which can produce original answers in a human voice in response to open-ended questions or requests, has recently captivated the world. Last week, Microsoft and Alphabet's Google announced new generative AI chatbots a day apart from the other. Those bots, which have not yet rolled out widely to users, will be able to synthesize material on the web for complex search queries. Early search results and conversations with Microsoft's Bing and Google's chatbot called Bard have shown they can be
